Clara Elverda Olsen Timothy 1911 ~ 2008 Clara Elverda Olsen Timothy died January 4, 2008 at her home in St. George, Utah. She was born April 16, 1911 in Hayden, Utah to John Albert and Clara Melinda Johnson Olsen. She was the fifth of 12 children. She married Presley Timothy, Dec. 1, 1927 in the Salt Lake Temple. They had nine children: Howard Wayne (Pat, deceased), Seattle, WA; Colene Hancock (Byron), West Valley City, UT; Presley Val (Lucy), Orem, UT; Kay Burgess (Jack), Roosevelt, UT; Charles Richard (Susan), Salt Lake City, UT; Connie Mae Rollins, Linda Iorg, St. George, UT; Lyle Dennis (deceased), LeAnn Walters, St. George, UT. She had 42 grandchildren, 121 great-grandchildren, 21 great-great grandchildren. Mother held many positions during her life as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneer. She really loved the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our mother loved to garden, travel, crochet, quilt, read scriptures and good books, and play games with her family. She loved good music and going to plays. She spent many years building and remodeling homes, and giving her children excellent advice on any project they might have. She was preceded in death by her husband who passed away in 1972, her son Lyle, four brothers, Bernell, Clifford, Glen, and Lerwill; four sisters, Zola Spencer, Geneva Whiting, Myrtle Sorensen, and Luella Sullivan, one grandchild, and several great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all. A Memorial service will be in St. George on Wed. January 9th. Funeral Service will be held Friday, Jan. 11, 2008 at 11 a.m. At the Roosevelt 5th ward LDS Chapel, The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30. The interment will be at the Roosevelt City Cemetery.
