DALLAS, Oregon - Gerhard Diehm, 78, a native of Dallas, died Wednesday in a St. George, Utah hospital of injuries received earlier this, week in an auto accident near there. He had resided at 211 Heather Lane. Diehm lived in Dallas till 1919 when he moved to Falls City. He moved to Salem in 1929 and back to Dallas in 1971. He was a retired carpenter. He was a World War I veteran.

Surviving are widow Viola; son Merritt of Sun River; daughters Florence Rash, Escondido, California, and Marjorie Ward of Portland; brother Dietrich of Dallas, Oregon; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, June 16 at Bollman mortuary, Rev. Ted Fast officiating. Burial will be in Falls City Cemetery.
