John Anthony Perkins of Campton, Kentucky, beloved husband of Joyce Elkins, departed this life Thursday, October 6, 2022 at the age of 48 years, 3 months and 25 days. He was a son of the late Dennie Lee and Dora Jean Thompson Perkins born in Indianapolis, Indiana on June 11, 1974. He was a mechanic by trade.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Elkins of Campton, Kentucky; one son, Conner Perkins of Campton, Kentucky; three brothers, Charles Perkins of Ezel, Kentucky, Dennie L. Perkins III of West Liberty, Kentucky and Isaiah "Danny" Perkins (Shonda) of Elk Fork, Kentucky; and two sisters, Melinda Perkins of Harrodsburg, Kentucky and Mary Perkins of West Liberty, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennie Lee and Dora Jean Thompson Perkins; and one brother, Dennie Perkins. He also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Serving as pallbearers; Isaiah Perkins, Charles Perkins, Caleb Perkins, Dennie Perkins, Charles Tyler Perkins, Josh McMahan and Michael Glispie.
Honorary pallbearers; John Paul Haddix, Bruce Turner, Issac Craft, Connor Perkins and Colton Perkins.
