Actress. She was the daughter of Hollywood producer Hal Roach. As a teenager she lived in Switzerland and spent several years there training to be an opera singer. At the age of seventeen she returned to Hollywood and started singing in local nightclubs. Against her father's wishes of being an actress, he finally cast her as a singer/dancer in the 1938 comedy film "Swiss Miss" starring Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy. In 1940 she played the role of "Dixie Gale" in the fantasy comedy film "Turnabout" and in 1941 she played "Priscilla" in the film "Roadshow". She went on to appear in several other films with her final appearance being in the 1949 crime drama "The Devil's Sleep". She retired from acting after that film at the age of 28.
