HELEN GERTRUDE BISHOP, age 89, of Gilmore Street, Eaton, OH., died Sunday May 2, 1999 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana. Born on March 12, 1910 in Eaton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Clarence L. & Pauline Cohee Meeks. She was a 1928 Eaton High School graduate; she attended Miami Jacobs Business College; member New Hope United Methodist Church; she served as Matron of the Preble County Home for five years; retired as a Case Worker for the Preble County Department of Human Services. Preceded in death by her Husband: Emerson H. Bishop in 1960; Sister: Gladys Morris in 1949.

Survivors: Son & Daughter-In-Law: Gerald L & Judy Bishop of Eaton, Ohio; Daughters & Sons-In-Law: Norma Jean & Norman Kemp and Joyce E. & Leon Moore both of Eaton, Ohio. Brother & Sister-In-Law: Karl & Marguerite Meeks of Eaton, Ohio. Sister: Doris F. Gephart of Eaton, Ohio. Eight Grandchildren, Sixteen Great Grandchildren, Four Great Great Grandchildren. Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

Funeral Service 11:00A.M. (Ohio Time) Wednesday May 5, 1999 at the New Hope United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeffrey W. Blair officiating. Interment will be in the Mound Hill Union Cemetery in Eaton, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Tuesday May 4, 1999 from 5 to 8 P.M. (Ohio Time) at the Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio and also one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.

Memorials may be made to the Eaton Emergency Squad, 324 North Maple Street, Eaton, Ohio 45320 or the New Hope United Methodist Church, 3330 Upshur-Northern Road, Eaton, Ohio 45320.
