Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Stooksbury Jones, "Ghee", passed away peacefully on October 4, 2022. She was born October 1, 1927 to Helen Virginia Jacobs and James Milburn Stooksbury. Ghee was married to Beverly Jones until his death in 1977. She was a graduate of Knoxville High School and UT Knoxville where she was an Alpha Omicron Pi. She enjoyed her many years serving the community through Junior League of Knoxville. Ghee took great joy in serving her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as a children's leader for Bible Study Fellowship as well as the children's ministry at Second Presbyterian Church. She will always be remembered for her sweet spirit and selfless love for others.
Ghee is survived and will be forever missed by her sons, Beverly, James, Baker; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other extended family and many friends.
Ghee will be laid to rest at Highland Memorial Cemetery privately with her beloved husband Beverly.
