Jan Rose Dortch Adams, 68, of Dresden, died Monday, January 14, 2008, at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin. Funeral services for Ms. Adams were held Thursday, January 17, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. at Murphy Funeral Home in Martin. Burial followed in East Side Cemetery in Martin. Rev. Don McCulley officiated the services.
Ms. Adams was retired from G.T.E. Telephone Company in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dresden and a 1958 graduate of Martin High School. Ms. Adams was born January 2, 1940 in Paducah, Kentucky to the late M.L. (Bill) Dortch and Bennie Elizabeth Regan Dortch.
Ms. Adams is survived by a son, Dennis Morgan Adams, Jr. (Gerri Ellen) of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; a brother, Lee Dortch of Milan; and one grandchild, Ryan Elizabeth Adams of Ft. Smith, Arkansas.
