Funeral services for Wesley Claude "Bucky" Garrett 64, of Union City were held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 27,1999, at the First Assembly of God Church in Tuttle. Bro. Larry Harris and Rev. Ralph McDaniel officiated.
Wesley Claude "Bucky" Garrett was born June 17, 1934, ar Cogar, the son of Claude Columbus and Neva Lina (Armstrong) Garrett, and died Wednesday , Feb. 24, 1999, at his home in Union City.
He had been in the Union City area for 30 years having previously come from Moore.
On March 28, 1953, he married Leah Jean Roberts at Minco . Bucky was a retired carpenter and a member of the Carpenters Union. He was also a member of the First Assembly of God in Tuttle.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Geneva Kuhlman; three nephews, Todd Garrett, Billy Kuhlman and George Kuhlman; one niece, Minnie Kuhlman.
Survivors include his wife, Leah Jean Garrett of the home; two sons and their wives, Wesley and Odessa Garrett of Union City, and Mike and Pauline Garrett of Union City; one daughter and her husband, Lavona and Gary Ninman of Union City; four brothers and sister-in-laws, Dale and Peggy Garrett of Tuttle, Ronnie and Kathy Garrett of Shawnee, Marland and Dollie Garrett of Oklahoma City, and Adrian and Wanda Garrett of Tuttle; four sisters, Nola and George Stark of Wayne, Paula Garrett of Minco, Loretta Miller of Newcastle , and Elaine Marsh of Marysville Wash.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and 51 nieces and nephews.
Internet was in the Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle , under the direction oh Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Donald Harris, Lonnie Yandell, Ernie Elkins, Roland Willmon, Jack Eisenman and Randy Palumbo.
