Smith, Arkansas to Donald Leroy & Ouida Marie Monroe. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Jack Henry Combs, 3 brothers: Paul Monroe (Carol), Francis Monroe (Donna Jean) and Howard Monroe (Debbie), her 6 children: Iris J. (Chip) Berthelot (Karen) of Houston, Texas, Ann Michele Howard (Gregg) of Corpus Christi, Texas, Jan Sherman (Blake) of Sugar Land, Texas, Lisa Strong (Jim) of Covington, Tennessee, Donnie Berthelot (Carol) of Clute, Texas, and David Berthelot (Natividad) of Corpus Christi, Texas, stepson Scott Combs (Gretchen) and stepdaughter Laura Murphy (Dave), 27 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 2 new greats due in June 2021, nieces and nephews and lots and lots of cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Iris Joseph Berthelot, nephew and great-nephew. She worked as a legal secretary in the oil and gas field. was an avid reader, and loved to teach water aerobics. Her large family and her faith were most important to her. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We would also like to acknowledge her cousin Mary Cecilia Cusack (Joe) of Kingsville, Texas who was like a sister to her, and her first grandchild with whom she shared a special bond, Amber Marie Sunshine. Gravesite Details
Not certain of burial details, obituary did not designate burial place. Her 1st husband is buried in Louisiana and her parents and 2nd husband are in Seaside Cemetery in Texas. If someone could clarify, I'll update burial location. Thanks, Cissy
