Barbara Carol Putman, 78, Fordland, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2022 at her home.

She was born December 25, 1943 in Ward, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Marion and Minnie (Fuller) Williams. She was united in marriage June 8, 1963 to E. Gene Putman. She was also preceded in death a sister, Sharon Williams.

Barbara was a data entry clerk with Anpac Insurance Company for many years before her retirement. She was a devoted member of Harmony Baptist Church in Rogersville where she was involved in the Women's Sunday School Class. She enjoyed cross-stitching, baking, and flower gardening. She was noted for her canned sweet and dill pickles and loved spoiling her granddaughter, Alyssa. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and will be missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Gene, a daughter, Debbie Putman, a son, Travis Putman and his wife Marica, a granddaughter, Alyssa Putman, three brothers, Wendell Williams, Carey Williams and his wife Caitlin, and Roger Williams, a sister, Sheila Garringer and her husband Johnny, several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 5, 2022, with funeral services following at 2:00 p.m. at Harmony Baptist Church, Rogersville under direction of J.D. Lee and Sons Funeral Home, Rogersville. Burial will follow in Holland Cemetery, Rogersville.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to the Commandment Way, Harmony Baptist Church, 5105 MO-125, Rogersville, MO 65742.
