Elmer H. Caldwell, 90, Rt. 2, Galveston, died at 1 a.m. Monday, May 23, 1983 at Memorial Hospital in Logansport.
Born Dec. 27, 1892 in Deer Creek Township, Cass County, to James and Dora Zinn Caldwell. On March 1, 1916, in Camden, he was married to May Wallace, who survives.
A retired farmer, he was also formerly employed at the ASCS office, Logansport. He was a member of the Deacon Grange No. 2315 and the former Salem Methodist Church.
Surviving with the wife are two sons, Max Caldwell, Crestone, Colo.; and Francis Caldwell, Rt. 2. Galveston; a brother, Glay Caldwell, Rt. 1, Camden; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A brother and sister preceded him in death.
Services will be held Wednesday at Wolf-Hartzler Funeral Home with the Rev. Chester Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Paint Creek Cemetery near Camden.
