Alex "Black" Seay, 97, of Hackberry, LA passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, October 2, 2022, in a local hospital. Black was born on September 10, 1925, in Choupique, LA to Louis and Lillian Seay.

Black enjoyed being around friends and family all of his life and enjoyed the great outdoors hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed shooting pool and sitting on his porch. Black proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII and later became a mechanic in the Oilfield Industry. He was a lifelong resident of Hackberry and a member of St. Peter Catholic Church.

Those left to cherish his memory are 5 children, Bozo Seay, Kirk Seay and (Linda), Joy Vincent and (Ronnie), Charlotte Neichoy and (Marc), Sonya Hebert and (Shane); 15 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 2 great- great grandchildren; 2 siblings, Isabelle Gray and Pat Seay.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joyce Seay; and 3 brothers and 1 sister.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Hackberry with Father Arvind Minz, HGN officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM at the St. Peter Catholic Church Hall on Tuesday, October 4, 2022. Visitation will resume on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until time of services at 10:00 AM. Burial will be at Hackberry Community Cemetery under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.
