Columbus Daniels, aged 84, a retired farmer of Route 1 and resident of Boone County for 25 years, died Saturday at the Boone County Hospital. He was a native of Swain, Newton County, and was born Aug 30, 1880, a son of Bill and Nancy Daniels.
He is survived by two sons, Leslie Daniels and Willie Daniels; and four daughters, Grace and Alpha Daniels and Mrs. Ida Whittenburg, all of Route 1, Mrs. Ona Dixon of Route 2 and Mrs Virgie Yackel of Wharton, Texas; four brothers, Walter and Floyd Daniels of Route 1, Perry Daniels of Harrison, Harley Daniels of Stockton, Calif., two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Snow and Ms. Pearl Daniels of Fayetteville; 8 grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Christeson Funeral Home with burial in the Buffalo Cemetery, near Parthenon.
He passed away at the Boone County Hospital in Harrison, Arkansas per death certificate.
