CAPE ELIZABETH - Audrey Maass Lewis of died peacefully on Thursday Oct. 18, 2018 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough. Audrey was a long-time resident of Cape Elizabeth, Maine and Naples, Fla.
Audrey was born on Sept. 6, 1932, in Passaic, N.J., the daughter of Harold and Isabel Maass. She graduated from The Kimberly School and went on to study at Green Mountain College in Putney, Vt. In 1955 she married the love of her life, a young Dartmouth graduate from East Boothbay, Maine. He said, "stick with me and I'll show you places you've never seen before" and together they saw the world. Audrey raised a family, travelled extensively, and made so many friends along the way. Friends of Audrey will miss her sense of humor and sharp wit. Her family will miss the unwavering love and generosity she showed towards each of us. And anyone who ever fly-fished with Audrey will miss watching the exceptional cast she mastered over many years fishing for Brook Trout at Megantic Fish and Game Club.
Services will be held at 11 AM this Friday at the Spurwink Church in Cape Elizabeth. Arrangements entrusted to Hobbs Funeral Home, South Portland.
