She was born in Anson County, NC June 8, 1939, daughter of

Wilma Ola Taylor Thomas (1913–1990)

Elaine was a graduate of Union High School and Durham Technical College and had worked in the accounting dept of several businesses before her retirement.
In their earlier years together, she and her first husband lived in Charlotte, NC, Harper's Ferry VA, and Durham NC. After her daughter graduated from college, she relocated to Monroe, NC. She enjoyed traveling, flower gardening, beach life, shopping, and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed playing piano, and played piano/organ for her church in Durham, as well as, taught a Sunday School Class while there.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Benton Heights Presbyterian Church, 2701 Concord Hwy, Monroe NC 28110 where Elaine was a faithful member. Burial will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and family prior to the service from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM in the church sanctuary.
The family would like to thank the staff and employees of The Pearl of Fort Mill and the Staff of Agape Hospice of Rock Hill.
