My father called her "Frank," and said she was advant garde, and one of the first women to learn how to drive a car. After Charlie retired, they "fipped" partially built new houses, loong before it was trendy. They were living in Fishkill, NY, when Charlie died in 1978. Charles Wintjen was born in 1902. Nana lived near my mother Harriet Corbett in Wisconsin, and then moved in with Aunt Grace Washburn in Valhalla, NY until her death in 1985.
