Margie Lee Cox Herndon, age 56, went to be with the Lord Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, at the Wellmont Hospice House.
She was born Feb. 10, 1952, and was a lifelong resident of the Bristol area. She was a surgical assistant and was a member of the Tennessee Avenue Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Gross Cox.
Survivors include husband, Bob Herndon; daughter, Tracy Carrier and husband Dennis; son, Hunter Herndon; father, Adron Cox; grandchildren, Alex Carrier and Nick Carrier; brother, Dennis Cox Sr. and wife Shelby; sisters, Donna Watson and husband Dave, Lebanon, Va., and Tammy Harris and husband Glen; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008, at the Tennessee Avenue Baptist Church, with Brother Joe Hudson officiating. The committal will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Mountain View Cemetery. Family and friends will go in procession at 10:30 a.m. Thursday from Weaver Funeral Home to the cemetery.
