He is survived by five daughters, Lynda Dietrich of Manson, Ruth Overton of Arlington, Doris Bennett of Hialeah, Fla., Karen McMasters of Seattle, and Louise Brosi of Apple Valley, Minn.; two sons, Robert Whitney, Renton, and Gene Whitney, Denver, Colo.; and one sister, Marion Bergersen, Bozeman, Mont.; 21 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
