George E. Whited, 53, of Manson, died Tuesday, December 3, 1963, in a Wenatchee hospital following a long illness.

Born in Carterville, Missouri, November 19, 1910, he grew up in that community. He was married to Opal Howell in Columbus, Kansas, April 22, 1947. The couple came to Chelan in 1948 and Mr. Whited was foreman for the Foster-Schultz orchard. They moved to Manson where they have lived since except for a brief period spent in Wenatchee. Prior to Mr. Whited's illness, he was working foreman for Wells and Wade Fruit Company in Manson.

He was a member of the Little Stone Church.

Survivors are his wife, Opal; four daughters, Mrs. Shirley Kinney, Manson; Mrs. Roberta Warren of Missouri; Mrs. Phyllis Morden of Seattle, and Sherry Whited at home; four sons, Norman and Danny at home, Larry Trent of Chelan, and Billy Hunter in Indiana; two brothers, Charlie and Harold, both in Ca.; two sisters, Mrs. Mrs. Imogene Mobley and Mrs. Hazel Whistler, both of Missouri, and 11 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 am from the Little Stone Church with the Rev. Leonard Showaler officiating. Concluding services and internment will be in the Fraternal Cemetery. Kirby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
