He was born August 19, 1923 in Highland, Utah to Hyrum Groesbeck, Jr. and Lue Emma Stephenson.
Les grew up on the family farm, attended local schools, and graduated from American Fork High School. He later took schooling to be a metal machinist, barber, and airplane pilot. He served in the US Army as a Military Policeman during World War II.
He married his sweetheart, Betty Bryan, on September 25, 1964 in the Salt Lake Temple.
Les worked for Hercules, Thiokol, and Boeing. They lived in Bountiful, UT, Seattle, WA, and Auburn, WA, and spent their retirement years in Moab, UT.
He loved to do woodcrafts and leather work and made many beautiful things.
An active member of the LDS Church, he served for three years as a missionary in Amsterdam, Holland, as a worker in the Seattle Temple, and held many ward callings.
He is survived by his loving wife, Betty; brother Paul (Beverly); sister-in-law Myrtle Groesbeck; and 13 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Emma and Lue; and brothers Mac and Byron.
Graveside services will be held on Thurs. February 7, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Tooele City Cemetery (250 S. 200 E.) or, in case of inclement weather, at the Tooele Stake Center (across the street from the Cemetery).
