Martha Armour Stuart was born in Maple Valley, Ontario, Canada, on Jan. 18, 1860. She was married in Toronto on April 20, 1891 to Alfred Wellington Stuart (1863-1913). Of this union three children were born two of whom survive to mourn her loss.
She joined the Dunedin Presbyterian church, September 2, 1877 and was always a conscientious and faithful Christian. She came to Washington in 1900 and to Chelan in 1901 where she immediately joined the Methodist Episcopal church of which she has remained a constant faithful member.
She leaves besides her two daughters, Mrs. Walter Cagle and Mrs. Asa Post, both of Chelan, a mother, Mrs. J. Armour of Vancouver, British Columbia, three sisters, Mrs. George Leitch of Hornings Mils, Ontario, Mrs. Robert Walker of Withrow, Wa., and Miss S. Armour of Vancouver, and two brothers, Mr. J. Armour and Mr. R. Armour both of Vancouver, British Columbia.
