There will never be anyone that compares to her. I'm heartbroken and lost without her. I never imagined she'd be gone so soon, but it was an honor to be her daughter and to be with her every day for the last few weeks. The time I shared with her and the talks we had will be some of my most treasured memories. As will her smile, her bangs, her tan (if you know, you know), the earrings she always wore, her matching scrunchies no matter what she was wearing (even at the river), her red nails, her laugh, her love for her family (especially her grandkids!), and so many other little things that I won't ever forget. She was the epitome of positivity and strength, always fighting through her RSD pain and anything else thrown her way. And she continued to fight this new battle still, until the very end. She never let her RSD (or anything else for that matter) get in her way… she still water-skied with one hand better than any of us could with two hands. She still fought to try & finish law school (top of her class!) and would have me test her with flash cards at night. She always made sure my brother and I were taken care of and did the things growing up that we wanted to do (even if she couldn't afford it). She was an inspiration to me and I will never forget the life lessons she taught me. I will miss calling her for advice, lunch dates, sharing healthy recipes and wellness tips, her singing Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary EVERY YEAR (thank goodness for saved voicemails so I can still continue to hear her singing to me on that special day), and so much more. She really was the best and if you had the pleasure to know her at any time in your life, I hope you know that she treasured your friendship and appreciated any help you provided her over the years. I know she had the most joyous of reunions with family and friends when she reached Heaven, especially with the love of her life. How lucky am I to have the most amazing parents watching over me from up above? She will be missed immensely. I'll love you forever, Mom. I can't wait to see all of the puffy clouds you send us.
