Deloris Kay Owens Andrews, age 60 of Cartersville, GA, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022, at Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center.
Kay was born on January 31, 1962, in Lumpkin County, GA, daughter of the late Charles Ellis Owens and Annie Mae Hancock Owens. In addition to her parents, Kay was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Chuck Owens and Eddie Owens. Prior to her retirement Kay worked as a teacher at Mission Road Elementary School for the Bartow County School System. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Hopewell Baptist Church.
Kay is survived by her husband, Danny Ray Andrews; son, Joshua Lee Andrews and his wife Courtney; daughter, Jordan Lia Andrews and her fiancé Caleb Turner; one granddaughter, Maris Catherine Andrews; and two sisters, Dendia Chastain and her husband Charles and Debbie Watts and her husband Ron.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 1, 2022, from 6 PM until 8 PM at Thomas Funeral Home and also on Sunday, October 2, 2022 from 1 PM until 3 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at 3 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Gary Garland and Reverend Charles Rogers officiating. Jeanette Rogers and Courtney Andrews will have charge of music. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery.
Pallbearers serving are Caleb Turner, Joshua Andrews, Jeremy Silvers, Kris Silvers, Chad Cochran, and Zach Cochran.
