Elizabeth was born in South Carolina. She married Joseph Harvey White about 1810 in South Carolina. It is believed they made the journey to Washington County, Illinois during 1812-1816 time frame. This was after Joseph's brothers, Robert, John and David arrived from Georgia with their families.
Elizabeth and Joseph had six children: James Samuel White, Martha Ann White, Elizabeth Lavinia White, Joseph Harvey White Jr., William Hale White and an unidentified daughter born about 1811 who probably died young.
Joseph died before 1830 leaving Elizabeth She depended on her oldest son son James Samuel White. James was living next door to his mother in 1840.
Elizabeth died in the 1840s and is believed to be buried near Joseph in Beaucoup Cemetery.
