Allen Lee Adams, 20, formerly of Alexandria, died July 31, 1967, in Washington, D.C.

Born May 22, 1947, he was a member of the U.S. Army and stationed in Ft. Myer, Fla. He went to school in Alexandria and in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Surviving are his parents, Darrel D. and Elizabeth "Betty" Adams, both retired and livings in Hickory, N.C.; a brother, David S. Adams of Richland, Va.; two sisters, Beverly (husband Thomas) Peterson of Hickory, N.C. and Pamela J. Rockwell of Anderson; two nephews, David Allen Adams of Lake Worth, Fla. and Luke Adams Peterson of Hickory, N.C.; a niece, Lacy Catherine Peterson of Hickory, N.C.; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clarence and Etta Adams, and Leslie and Gracie Gilliam.

Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1 at the Tabernacle Church in Hickory, N.C. with the and Gaylon Benton officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
