WOMAN PASSES AT ST. MAURICE
Mrs. Bernard Wolter, 66, Succumbs to Heart Trouble - Eight Children Survive
Mrs. Bernard Walter, 66, a resident of the St. Maurice community for 43 years, died at her home one mile west of St. Maurice Thursday afternoon at 2:15 o'clock. Death was attributed to an illness of heart trouble and complications.
The deceased, whose maiden name was Anna Mary Kuntz, was born at Oldenburg on May 23, 1870. Her parents were Jacob and Elizabeth Theobald Kuntz. Her marriage to Bernard Wolter took place on Oct. 25, 1893, after which the couple located on a farm west of St. Maurice. Mrs. Wolter was a respected woman of the St. Maurice community. She was a member of the St. Maurice Catholic church and the St. Eliabeth Society of the church.
Surviving Mrs. Wolter are her husband, Bernard Wolter; eight children, Henry Wolter, Frank Wolter, Joseph Wolter, Anthony Wolter, the Misses Rose and Mary Wolter and Mrs. Minnie Ploegar, all of Decatur county and Edward Wolter, of Cincinnati. Another son passed away in infancy.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 9:30 o'clock at the St. Maurice Catholic church. The Rev. Father Louis Becker, pastor of the church, will be assisted by the Rev. Father P.J. Schneider and the Rev. Father Edward Houke, of Greensburg. Burial will be in the St. Maurice cemetery.
