Anthony J. Moorman, 84, R.R.11, Greensburg, died at 9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, 1988, in the Decatur County Memorial Hospital, Greensburg.

He was born Nov. 26, 1904, in Batesville, Ind., the son of Bernard and Anna Menkhaus Moorman. He married Frances M. Sunnenberg May 23, 1928, and she survives. He operated the Moorman Saw Mill in St. Maurice for many years. He was a charter member of the Pioneer Engineers Club of Indiana, and a member of the St. Maurice Catholic Church, St. Maurice.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Paul Moorman, Indianapolis, Donald Moorman, Greensburg and Jerry Moorman, Bloomington, Ind.; three daughters, Anna Mae Kramer and Marie Wolter, both of Greensburg, and Shirley Bevers, Indianapolis; 21 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bernard and Joseph Moorman, and three sisters, Marie Moorman, Pauline Fleetwood and Frances Fisse.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Maurice Catholic Church, St. Maurice, Ind., with the Rev. Henry Brown officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home, Greensburg.

A rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

The family suggests that memorials go to the St. Maurice Catholic Church.
