Terry Lynn Kelly, 70, was born in Winnfield, Louisiana on
June 13, 1952, and passed away on September 24, 2022
in Jonesboro, Louisiana. His family and friends are
deeply saddened by his sudden death.
Terry grew up in the Weston community and Springhill
Baptist Church, and was a 1970 graduate of Weston
High School. He served in the U.S. Army and lived in
Mississippi, Alabama, Missouri, Montana, and Texas
before returning to Jonesboro after his retirement.
Terry was an avid reader and loved to hunt and visit
with friends and family.
Terry is survived by his father, John Huey Kelly and step-
mother, Alma Jean Kelly; sisters Karen (Nick) Nichols,
Becky (Mike) Williamson, Belinda (Jeff) Johnson, and
Gayla (Johnny) Davis; daughters Sheree (Shawn)
Grooms and Theresa Barron; seven grandchildren, and a
number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in
death by his mother, Geneva Hux Kelly.
The family wishes to acknowledge and express deep
appreciation for the friendship and support of Terry's
close friends.
The family is honoring his request to have no service
and will have a small private gathering for close family
and friends at a later date. His ashes will be interred at
Harmony Grove Baptist Church cemetery in Winn
Parish. The family sincerely appreciates all the love and
