Linda L. Bailey

Linda L. Bailey, 75 of Zanesville, passed peacefully surrounded by her family at 8:10 p.m., Monday, October 3, 2022, at Genesis Morrison House Hospice. She was born Wednesday, May 21, 1947, in Gallipolis, the daughter of Dale Denver Darst, Sr. and Peggy E. (Lewis) Darst.

Linda was the first of ten children, and the apple of her father's eye. She was a lady of few words; however, what she said was impactful. She loved music, dancing, and Elvis. Linda enjoyed socializing with her good friends at Seton House. Linda was a loving and caring person who lovingly cared for her siblings, her children and grandchildren. Linda was a follower of Christ, was a member of Club Jesus at Euclid United Methodist Church and had a deep personal relationship with God.

Linda is survived by four children, Clint (Terrie) Suttles, Mark Suttles, Chris (Brandi) Suttles and Kristy (Dana) Hammers; grandchildren, Brittney (Mark "Bobby" Church) Suttles, Cassandra (Jordan Williams) Suttles, Marcus Suttles, Dean (Haven Omen) Suttles, Slade Suttles, Bradley Suttles, Brady Suttles, Jesse Hammers and Madison Hammers; five great grandsons and one great granddaughter; nine siblings, Dusty (the late Sally) Darst, Tina (Jeff) Houston, Debi Spinks, Peggy (the late Andrew) Pallotta, Vince Darst, Mary Birdwell, Diedre (George) Darst-Masek, Joe Darst, and Misty (Ward) Coffman; a special friend, Brian Dunn, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by one nephew, Billy Parrish and one great-nephew, Jorden Williams.

Friends may call 10 to 12 p.m., Thursday, October 6, 2022, at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, where funeral services will follow at 12 p.m. Linda will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Morrison House Hospice, 713 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, or Club Jesus, c/o Euclid United Methodist Church, 1304 Euclid Avenue, Zanesville, in Linda's memory.
