Ra Nae died peacefully at home May 5, 2021. She was 86 years old. Ra Nae was the first born of four children to Golden Thomas Draper and Ruth Sharp Draper in Ogden Utah April 15, 1935. Ra Nae loved the life on the farm and with her three siblings, Raymond, J, and Brenda. Ra Nae enrolled in the Salter Conservatory of Music as a young girl and studied drama, theater, French and piano. Her work resulted in being recommended to the Boston Conservatory of Music. Ra Nae met Lewis Ray Callahan in 1952 and was married in the Idaho Falls Temple July 25, 1952. Ray was stationed in New Port, Rhode Island during the Korean conflict and together they began their life in Newport. Upon returning to Nyssa Oregon, Ra Nae completed her nurses training at the Nyssa Hospital during the polio epidemic. A few of her assignments were surgical nurse, physical therapist and she help deliver over 100 babies. After retiring from her nursing duties, she became a mother to Steve, Brad, Lora and Carolyn. Ra Nae loved the performing arts, she worked as the stage coordinator with Boise State University, the Boise Opera, the Morrison Center and Boise Little Theater for 20 years. Ra Nae worked at Brookover's as a clothing stylist for 15 years and she loved clothes and refinement. She loved to decorate and always made everything she touched beautiful.
She was married to Ray Callahan for 40 years and after he passed in 1993 RaNae met Howard Larson and they were married for 25 years. Howard recently passed in 2019.
Ra Nae served three church service missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a fulltime mission in the Peoria, IL. and at the Nauvoo historic site. Ra Nae lived a big life and was a wonderful mother grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, friend, sister, aunt, and cousin. Her life was a life of service.
Ra Nae is preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, her brother Raymond Draper and many others.
Ra Nae's children are Steven and Robin Callahan of Kuna, Bradley and Debbie Callahan of Boise, Lora and Wayne Callister of Eagle and Carolyn Isaacs of Seattle, respectfully her stepchildren the Larson family, 37 grandchildren and 36 great great grandchildren.
Ra Nae will be missed, her kindness, her life and serving others and her many talents. Ra Nae was a faithful member of The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
