Sophia Loraine Shawver – 13
Of Valdosta, Georgia passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022, at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born on May 13, 2009, in Valdosta, Georgia.
Sophia was a much-loved child who would leave a piece of her heart with you if you were fortunate enough to know or meet her. She would light up when she heard music or the sound of wind chimes. Lights and voices seemed to soothe and bring comfort to her. The Make-A-Wish Foundation honored Sophia with a specialized stroller and other gifts when she was younger. This sweet innocent child, Sophia, was loved so much and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Ronald Johnston of Portland, Indiana.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Denise Reynolds and all of Sophia's caregivers who supported her throughout her life.
A celebration of Sophia's life will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at her residence, in Valdosta, Georgia. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, that you please send a donation to a children's charity of your choice.
