SUDDEN DEATH OF Mrs. R. M. Park // Seized With Apoplexy While on Her Way to Visit Her Daughter. She Dies At a House on the Way-side. // From Wednesday's Daily
Mrs. Elizabeth Park, wife of R. M. Park, living near Wyckles, met a sudden death yesterday afternoon under particularly sad circumstances. She left her home yesterday morning in usual health and started to visit her daughter, Mrs. B. F. Gring, who lives about four miles east of the city. She was accompanied by her husband and they drove along leisurely expecting to reach the Gring residence about noon. At 1 o'clock Mrs. Gring complained of feeling ill. Her husband stopped his vehicle in front of Will Peniwell's residence, two miles east of the city, and Mrs. Park was helped in there. She received every possible attention but continued to grow worse until 2:40 o'clock when she breathed her last. Her death is said to be the result of apoplexy.
Mrs. Park was a woman about 55 years old. She lived for many years in the vicinity of Wyckles and was well known throughout that section of the country. She wad an earnest member of the Cumberland Presbyterian church. A husband and seven children survive her. They are Mrs. B F. Gring, Mollie, Alma, Allan, Frank, Ben and Hugh Park. The remains will be removed to the family residence and the funeral will take place Thursday. The arrangements have not all been completed, but the services will probably be held at 11 o'clock and the burial will be at Sharon cemetery. Mrs. Park leaves a wide circle of friends to mourn her sudden death.
