Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 3, at Bentley Funeral Home in Durant. Burial will be in the Durant Cemetery, Durant, Iowa.
Debra Jean Bland was born November 30, 1955, in Davenport, the daughter of Willard and Dana (Martin) Bland. She graduated from Davenport West High School with the Class of 1974. She married Douglas Harlan Cook on February 18, 1978, in Durant. She was employed as a cook for 5th Avenue Creamery in Durant for many years and also worked in the cafeteria for Wilton Community Schools, until she retired. Douglas preceded her in death on May 30, 2019. She was a member of Grace United Church of Christ in Wilton. She enjoyed listening to music. Above all, she loved the time she spent with her family.
Surviving are one daughter, Erin (Craig) Stansfield of Durant; one son, Matthew (Alexis) Cook of Muscatine; three grandchildren, Tyler, Grace and Brynn; her parents, Willard and Dana Bland of Urbandale; one sister, Wendy (Kyle) Henderson of Cedar Falls; and one sister in-law, Cathy Bland of Des Moines.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one brother, Bradley Bland.
