Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: prior to service at Mount Olivet Funeral Home.
Juanita Miller married the love of her life, Don Ryan, on Dec. 27, 1941, in Fort Worth. Life was a struggle during the war, but they faced it together, saving nickels and dimes, and raising two young sons. They eventually bought their dream house on Cummings Drive, where they would both spend their final days.
Juanita was loved by Don, Nita was loved as a sister, Mema was loved by all. She had a warm, playful spirit, easy to laugh, slow to anger. She could putt a golf ball and win the game, or wistfully beat you at Skipbo and never relent. She loved hard candy, hot coffee and the color red. She knew the best and worst in all of us and loved us with all the passion her small body could hold. We will miss this tiny force of nature. She was dearly loved.
She was preceded in death by husband, Don A. Ryan, and son, Don W. Ryan.
Survivors: Children, Rodney L. Ryan and wife, Lynette, and Babs Ryan Holly and husband, Shelby; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Peggy Odom and husband, Leon, Theo Smith and husband, Doyle; numerous nieces and nephews.
