Ruth was the second oldest of seven siblings born to the late Deacon Isadore and Mayreather Brown Pillars.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of sixty-one years, her sister, Dorothy Pillars Baker; her brother, Wilbert Pillars and one niece Tracie Baker.
She is survived by: one sister, three brothers, five nieces, one nephew, two goddaughters, seven sisters in law, and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
