The love of my life has gone on to her next adventure. Paula left me unexpectedly on June 17, 2022. I got to hug Paula everyday for 40 years of love & joy! If I had been asked to accept this gift knowing it would be taken away in 40 years, I would have answered with a resounding YES! Paula was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Paula grew up in New City, N.Y. and graduated from Clarkstown High School. After obtaining her nursing degree she worked 8 years at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. She just retired in February after 30 years as a cardiac nurse at UVA Medical Center. She was well-respected and loved by her colleagues, many of which became good friends. In addition to her excellent nursing accomplishments, she was renowned for her outstanding baking skills.

Also mourning her loss are her daughter, Sara Schmidt; her sister, Laura and Theodore Godsil; her brother, Alan and Lori Winslow Jr.; her sister-in-law, Lyn Fowler; and most especially me, Barry.

Paula was predeceased by our son, Seth; and her sister, Robin. She was a favorite Aunt and Grand-Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Paula loved them all and always remembered them on birthdays, holidays, and milestones in their lives.

A memorial celebration of her life service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ASPCA (caspca.org) or The Wildlife Center (wildlifecenter.org). Her furry friends thank you for all your gifts. An online guestbook is available at
