Mother Earline Smith Bailey, the daughter of the late Nathaniel Smith and Liller Viola Miller Smith, was born March 19, 1936 in Richmond Hill, GA.

She was the youngest of ten children who preceded her in death. She grew up in Richmond Hill and attended the Dixie Daniel Public Schools in Richmond Hill.

She accepted Christ at an early age and served as a faithful member of New Church of Christ Holiness Unto the Lord of the Apostolic Faith.

She was a strong, hard working woman who loved the Lord and her family. She did not mind telling you the truth. Whatever job she had to do, she did it with all her might as doing it unto the Lord. She did mostly domestic work but she did what she had to do to take care of her family. God took care of her while she took care of us.

She married the late Walter Lee Bailey, Sr. unto this union, were blessed with five children, two preceded her in death.

She departed this life on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at her residence in Richmond Hill, GA.

She leaves to cherish her memories; a loving daughter, Ernestine Scriven of Richmond Hill, GA; two sons, Walter Lee Bailey, Jr. of Savannah, GA and Nathaniel (Emiko) Bailey of Surprise, AZ; thirteen grandchildren; thirty five great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 9, 2022 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 10, 2022 at New Life Church in Richmond Hill.

Burial will be in Magnolia Memory Gardens in Savannah on Monday.
