A graveside funeral service will be held Thursday September 29 at 11:00AM at Crown Hill Cemetery. Rev. Ronnie Kinsaul will be officiating.
Born in Tifton, GA, Mrs. Cook was the daughter of Orion and Katherine Mitchell. She was a graduate of Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville, GA, and later taught Elementary School in Albany for over 30 years. Mrs. Cook was married to the late Lawson Cook Jr. of Dawson, GA. They were members of Porterfield United Methodist Church and had three children. Mrs. Cook thoroughly enjoyed being a teacher, music, dance and cheering on the UGA Bulldogs with her husband, children, grandchildren and friends.
Survivors include her two sons, one daughter, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren She is also survived by her brother and nine nieces and nephews.
