Mr. Ridenour had operated a grocery store in the north end of town since September 1923. He was a native of West Virginia, being born and reared in Kingwood, Preston county, that state. He had been a resident of Ohio for the past four years, having been located at Youngstown, Germantown and Lewisburg during that time.
Funeral services were conducted from the home Tuesday afternoon with Rev. M.W. Mumma, local United Brethren pastor, in charge. Burial was made in Roselawn cemetery.
A son, James, who lived here with his father for a time and later resided in Dayton, is the only immediate survivor. Numerous distant relatives reside around Germantown and in the East.
The son has decided to continue operation of the grocery.
