Mr. Warren Glenwood Newman, 95, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at GlenFlora Assisted Living Center in Lumberton, NC. He was born in Dooly County, GA to the late George Washington Newman and the late Lila Myrtle Guyton Newman.
Along with his parents, Mr. Newman was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Scott Newman; his grandson, Bobby Wallace; and several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his sister, Lue Ellen Ivey of Lumberton, NC; his niece, Wanda Allen; his stepdaughter, Paulette Wallace; his stepson, John Wayne Smith; a special granddaughter, Brenda Smith; and 8 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of GlenFlora and Liberty Hospice Care (Whiteville, NC) for their care and compassion.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 5:00 PM at New Hollywood Cemetery in Lumberton, NC with Rev. David Kelly officiating.
