Virginia "Jenny"Jacqueline Whitehead Braeutigam passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at the Avalon Memory Care in Cedar Park,TX. at the age of 74 years.

Virginia "Jenny" Whitehead Braeutigam was born in Fredericksburg,TX on Aug.13, 1948 to Joseph F. Whitehead & Harriet Rolfe Whitehead. She was the 2nd oldest of 4 children. As a child she enjoyed spending time with her grandparents & cousins, Girl Scouts and band. She was proud to have been a Candy Striper at the local hospital.

Jenny married Gerald "Jerry" Braeutigam of Fredericksburg, on June 18,1966. They lived & raised their two children, Kevin & Danette in Austin, TX.

Jenny spent the majority of her working career in the insurance business.

She was very involved with her children in scouts and band. She was her son's Cub Scout leader for a couple of years and her daughters Girl Scout leader for 10 years. As a family, they enjoyed going to church, camping, and taking vacations down to the Texas Coast. Jenny enjoyed creative hobbies. She was an excellent seamstress. She loved to do various types of needle work & crochet. She loved making crafts for other people. She enjoyed baking and decorating cakes & was always the go to cake maker among family and friends.

After retirement, Jenny & Jerry moved to Granite Shoals in 2000 & spent more time traveling, camping, and spending time with family and friends.

Jenny cherished her time with her 3 grandchildren. They enjoyed supporting their activities & spending extra time with them in the summer & school breaks.

Jenny also enjoyed their involvement with the Marble Falls Senior Center & St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Marble Falls.

Jenny was a respected woman. She could brighten up the room with her colorful & seasonal clothes along with a matching hat. She could easily strike up a conversation with anyone. Jenny put family first. She loved to help people & be active. She will be deeply missed.

Virginia was survived by one daughter and her husband, Danette & Keith Roehrig of Liberty Hill, TX; one daughter-in-law and her husband, Lauri Braeutigam Gaskin & Kenny Gaskin of Lockhart, TX; 3 grandchildren, Kameryn Roehrig, Kaitlyn & Lacey Braeutigam; 1 sister and her husband, Pearl & Mike McFarland and 1 brother, Eugene "Yogi" & Carolyn Whitehead, plus numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Braeutigam, her son, Kevin Braeutigam, and her brother, Joseph Whitehead Jr.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday September 28th at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Schaetter Funeral Home.

Graveside Services and Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation for Jenny Breautigam will be held on Wednesday September 28th from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Schaetter Funeral.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Peter Lutheran Church, Marble Falls, Tx, Girl Scouts of Central Texas, or to the charity of your choice.
