Mr. Wesley Earlie "PeeWee" Morgan, 72, died Thursday (September 22, 2022) at Ascension St. Vincent's Riverside in Jacksonville, FL after a brief illness.

He was a native of Coffee County, and he graduated from Nicholls High School in 1968. PeeWee was a self-employed truck driver for many years prior to driving for Walmart Distribution Center for 16 years and lastly Home Transport. He was a member of Abundant Life in Blackshear.

PeeWee was preceded in death by his parents, Sol "Bud" Morgan and Virginia Nettles Morgan; sister, Linda Nails; and brother, Frank Merritt.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Debra Cheshire Morgan of Blackshear; two children, Tammie Morgan Williams (Bob) of Waycross, and Wes Morgan (Holly) of Blackshear; grandchildren, Trace Williams, Lily Smith, Maybre and Josie Morgan; four sisters, Joan Morgan of Douglas, Thelma Anderson (Jerry) of Nicholls, Deborah Lee (Darowyn) of Bickley, and Rhoda Kirkland (Clyde) of Douglas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday (September 26, 2022) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5 until 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
