Lana Jo Rogers was a native of Scott, LA and a lifelong resident of Lafayette, LA. She graduated from Scott High School Class of 1964. Lana worked for Bell South which became South Central Bell and is now AT&T, and she retired with over 45 years and this was her first and only job. She was a proud member of The Telephone Pioneers of America, with whom she loved volunteering for many local charities. She also really enjoyed participating in the Senior Olympics.
Lana put everyone before herself always. She was always smiling and loved to dance. A loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend to all. She will be dearly missed by all who were a part of her life.
Survivors include her granddaughters, Erin Gerard, Kayla Simon, and Gracie Melton; three great-grandchildren; her sister, Katrina Sporer(David); brother-in-law, Gilford Domingue; her stepchildren, Sue, Kathy and Clarence and their families; godmother, Rudell Dronet; godchild, Vange Guidry; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lana was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Nicholas Rogers; her parents, Oleus and Vivian Simoneaux Domingue; her daughter, Jessica Lynn Domingue; great-grandson, Carter Gerard; her sisters, Deanna Breaux and Eileen Domingue; her brothers, Donald Domingue and Neil Domingue.
