Baxter Tavious Morrison, Jr., 53, of Fayetteville passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2022.

Baxter is preceded in death by his father, Baxter Tavious Morrison, Sr.; mother, Estalene Rowell Morrison; and sister, Brenda Smiling. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Amy Diane Morrison; daughters, Gabrielle Dee Abraham and Alexandria Diane Tiernan; son, Baxter Tavious Morrison, III; grandchildren, Leah M. Abraham (6), Urijah M. Abraham (3), and Emma D. Tiernan (2); siblings, Brian Morrison, Tony Blackwell, and David Blackwell; sisters, Baxter Ann Sisk, Teresa Collins, Patricia Hall, and Barbara Meggs.

Baxter was a dedicated soldier, uncle, son, friend, and brother. He had many passions in life to include hunting/fishing, riding his motorcycle, and continuing his pursuit of education (higher) by obtaining a doctorates degree and two master's degrees. Baxter served 22 years active service in the US Army and retired as a 1SG paratrooper. He went on three tours to include Just Cause, and operation Desert Storm/shield. He led many young individuals in scouts for twelve years.

Baxter was loved by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 25th from 6 to 8 PM at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:30 PM on Monday, September 26, in the chapel of Rogers and Breece Funeral Home.
