Richard Allen Thompson, 59, of Holly Fork Road, Morehead, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, September 21, 2022 at his home with his loving family by his side.

He was born May 30, 1963 in Rushville, Indiana, to the late Larry and Diana Richmond Thompson.

Richard was a former employee of KDMK in Mount Sterling, Kentucky. He enjoyed carpentry, woodworking, fishing, computer games and spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, J. D. Thompson and one sister, Gail Logan.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Sue Cain, one daughter, Ashley Jones (Johnathan), one sister, Lenora Crace (Robert) and five stepchildren: James Zornes (Anita), Kathy Vaughn, Tina Lucas (Tommy), Regina Burton (Jason) and Nissa Hill (Chris), nine great-grandchildren and many family members and friends that will miss him dearly.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Friday, September 23, 2022 at the Holly Fork Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Monroe Craig officiating.

Burial will follow in the Masters Cemetery.

Visitation at the Holly Fork Free Will Baptist Church is after 6:00 P.M. Thursday.

Pallbearers will be Nick Vaughn, Jake Vaughn, T. J. Lucas, Tony Lucas, James Zornes, Robert Crace, Derick Jackson and Aaron Plank.
