Born September 24, 1954 in Trenton, Michigan, Jamie was the daughter of the late George G. and Velma Pauline (Fegan) Schmeling. She was a 1972 graduate of Jefferson High School.
Jamie had several jobs in the area but her most rewarding was being a wonderful homemaker.
Jamie is survived by a son: Donnie Lynn McCoy; her brother and sister-in-law, Matthew G. and Cheryl Schmeling of Pinckney, MI.; two nephews: Alex G. (Caitlyn Pollhill) Schmeling of Livonia, MI., and Timothy J. (Kristen) Prieur of Novi, MI.; two great-nieces: Miranda and Ava; and a great-nephew: Emmett.
In addition to her parents, Jamie was preceded in death by two children: Jamie Lynn and Paul Allen Thompson; and a brother, Max G. Schmeling.
Jamie's wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park on Monday, December 11, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in The Chapel of Prayer. Deacon Michael Stewart will officiate.
