On June 30, 1908 as Isabelle Grady Riese, she married Frank Warren Knowlton at Newton, Massachusetts.
They were the parents of three children.
On Wednesday, April 27, 1938, she married Richard C. Burleson at the home of Colonel Cortlandt Parker. Dr. Henry P. Judd officiated. She arrived on the Republic and was married the same day.
They had no children.
On March 8, 1940, she was shot to death by the first wife of her husband in a downtown hotel cafeteria in Columbia, South Carolina.
