Ackerle, 70, Dies; Retired From Alco
Edward Ackerle, 70 of 28 North St. died unexpectedly at his home yesterday.
Mr. Ackerle, who had lived here all his life, was employed at the American Locomotive Co. 15 years as a tool crib operator, retiring in 1956.
Survivors include two sons, Edward Ackerle of Bradenton, Fla., and Robert Ackerle of Schenectady. A grandson and several nieces and nephews also survive.
A private funeral service will be held at Baxter's Funeral Home at the convenience of the family. The Rev. Warren Bull, pastor of the Niskayuna Reformed Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
