Lawrence R. (Bud) Beegle, 66, Friedens, RD 2, died June 11, 1986 at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born Nov. 8, 1919, in Friedens, son of the late Harry and Kathryn (Bittner) Beegle. Also preceded in death by infant brother, Ralph Eugene. Survived by his wife, the former Eleanor Meyers, whom he married on May 5, 1941; daughter, Mrs. Thomas H. (Verdean) Zimmerman, Stoystown; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Brother of: Mrs. Cameron (Bernice) Shoff, Stoystown RD 3. Former owner of Beegle's Garage in Friedens and was employed by Shanksville Auto Company and had retired from Mostoller Refuse Service as a mechanic. Member of Grace Lutheran Church, Stoystown. Formerly played with Happy Laughner's Band.
Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. John A. Zimmerman and the Rev. J. Wesley Spahn officiating. Interment, Odd Fellows Cemetery, Stoystown. If friends desire, instead of flowers, contributions may be given to the American Heart Association.
