Bentley, Betty Jane Emmons Loving wife and mother, Betty Jane Bentley, passed away on March 11, 2009. Betty was born May 2, 1924 in Corsicana, Texas. She attended Adamson High School in Dallas. Betty married William V. (Bill) Bentley on August 1, 1943. They were lifelong companions married for 65 years. He predeceased her on November 17, 2008. Betty is survived by her three children, Mike Bentley and Sally Hamilton of Austin, and Margaret Murray of Weatherford, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Betty will be greatly missed by her family. Before becoming ill, Betty was a faithful member of her church. She was an artist and enjoyed all types of sports, card games, and brain games. She excelled at them all. She had a fine sense of humor and kept us laughing.. A graveside ceremony will be held at 12:30 p.m Monday, March 16 at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Dallas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CTMC Foundation (Hospice Care), 1315 IH-35 North, San Marcos, Texas 78666.
